Remington Active Shooter Response Course

Course Objectives
This course is designed to assist law enforcement agencies in dealing with the increasing problem of Active Shooters in highly populated buildings such as: Schools, businesses, day-care centers; etc. Research into and lessons learned from not only the most recent and publicized incidents but also several lesser-known tragedies are discussed within the course. Viable law enforcement responses to active shooter scenarios comprise the core of our curriculum.

The content of our course will include extensive hands-on, scenario-based training with a strong emphasis on "force-on-force" simulated and live fire range time. This course is recommended for any Law Enforcement professional that will be required to respond to the scene of an Active Shooter. Patrol Officers, School Resource Officers, Detectives and Administrators will all take away experience from this comprehensive course.

Course objectives are accomplished by providing the student with a 3-day course that combines lecture, practical application, Force on Force and live-fire training to include simunitions and pyrotechnics for enhancement of realistic scenario driven training.

• Planning and Preparation
• Notification, Movement and Link-up
• Movement to the Entry / Breach point
• Range exercises / Live Fire
• Movement to the crisis point
• Threat neutralization
• Link up with follow on elements
• Site security, consolidation and treatment of injured
• Practical exercises/Force on Force validation of tactics
Course Prerequisites/Requirements
Restricted to Law Enforcement, Military and Approved Participants.

Identification: 2 valid forms of state or Federal Picture Identification.

Firearms: Semi-automatic Pistol with a minimum of three magazines mandatory. Semi-automatic carbine 5.56
  (.223) and three high capacity magazines or tactical shotgun (optional).

Ammunition: 250 pistol rounds, 300 carbine rounds (optional), 150 shotgun target loads (optional)
