Introducing the Next Generation of Sniper Rifles – the Remington® Model 40-XS™ Tactical Weapon System


Madison, NC – Remington continues to redefine cutting edge tactical rifles with the introduction of the Model 40-XS Bolt Action Rifle System. Combining the legendary performance of Remington’s line of pinpoint accurate target rifles and the strength of the most advanced manufacturing materials, the Remington Model 40-XS brings the finest precision sniper rifle system to the tactical world.

The Model 40-XS is based on the venerable Model 40-X™ action, developed in the Remington Custom Shop. The barreled action is constructed of 416 stainless steel and is coated with a non-reflective, proprietary polymer coating and then custom bedded in a McMillan® A3 series stock for stability and protection, even in the harshest conditions. For proper fit, the McMillan stock provides for adjustment of the length of pull and drop. Additional features include an externally adjustable, Model 40-X trigger (for trigger pull weight) and a Sunny Hill, all steel trigger guard. Chambered in .308 Win with a 1:12 inch twist rate, each Model 40-XS must deliver a ¾ MOA accuracy or better before leaving the Custom Shop.

For the ultimate in tactical weapon systems, the Model 40-XS is offered as a complete system, packed in a rugged black Pelican® hard case. The TWS package includes a Leupold® Vari-X™ III 3.5-10x40mm Long Range M1 scope with Mil Dot Reticle; Badger Ordnance all steel Picatinny scope rail (Mil-STD-1913) and rings (8-40 size mounting holes); Harris® Bi-Pod with quick adjust swivel lock; and Turner® AWS tactical sling with swivels.
